Donald R. Horn

Services for Donald R. Horn, 91, of Mentor, will be at 11 AM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Friday, November 20, 2015, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service on Friday.

Mr. Horn passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015.

Born November 9, 1924 in Willoughby, he was a lifelong Mentor resident.

He was a World War II United States Navy Veteran and a member of Mentor Christian Church. He was also a member of Temple Lodge 28 F. & A.M., Caliph Grotto and George E. Hayward Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9295 in Mentor.

Mr. Horn was employed as a manufacturing engineer at Fluid Controls in Mentor, retiring in 1985 after 28 years of service.

Survivors are his wife of 41 years, Carol J. (Schaffer) Horn of Mentor; daughter, Susan Horn of Austin, TX; step-daughter, Nancy (David) Woodworth of Madison; grandchildren, Jeremy (Koren) Woodworth and Alison Woodworth.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Gregory on October 27, 2015 and Jeffery L. Horn on March 15, 1989. His parents, Henry and Helen (Chambers) Horn are also deceased.
