Donald E. Smith

Private family services will be held for Donald E. Smith, 96, of Willoughby.

Mr. Smith passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Ohman Family Living at Holly in Newbury Township.

Born May 1, 1927 in Salineville, Ohio he was a longtime Kirtland resident.

He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was an avid sportsman, and cherished spending time with his family, which he considered to be the most important.

Mr. Smith was tool engineer for the former Euclid, Inc., in Euclid, retiring after 30 years of service.

Survivors are his son, Lynn (Darleen) Smith; granddaughters, Wende (Scott) Snow and Jacki (Jeff) Polak; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ryan, Zach and Andi and his brother, John (June) Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilda in 2001. His parents, Nolan and Amelia (Seigler) Smith, siblings, Dorothy, Freda, Ken and Jim are also deceased.

Private family interment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township, on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
