Doreen E. Moorman

Doreen Elizabeth Riddle Moorman, of Sun City Center, FL and Mentor, OH, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016. She walked peacefully into God’s loving embrace surrounded by family.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Advent Lutheran Church, 7985 Munson Road in Mentor. Family will receive friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am.

Doreen was born in Lackawanna, NY on November 16, 1940. She went to Maryvale High School in Cheektowaga, NY and went on to graduate from Ohio University in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart, Alan, and they enjoyed over 55 years of happiness and love. Together they owned and operated Integrated Technologies, a hydraulics company in Mentor, OH. Doreen was an active member of Sun City Center United Methodist Church, where she played handbells and delivered Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed reading, sewing, tennis, playing piano and handbells, and spending time with her family.

Doreen is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Davis Riddle and Dorothy (Dechert) Riddle.

Doreen is survived by her husband, Alan; daughter Laurie (Craig) Eppler of Mentor; daughter Wendy (Chris) Heye of Sudbury, MA; and son Scott (Beth) Moorman of Concord Township; and nine grandchildren: Chris, Sean, and Caelyn Eppler; Kellie, Ryan, and Colin Heye; and Katie, Megan, and Patrick Moorman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44119.
