Doris M. Diemert

Doris Diemert, age 93, of Mentor, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, August 20, 2023, at Tri-Point Medical Center in Concord Township, due to complications following surgery.

Born June 9, 1930 in Baltimore, Maryland, she lived most of her life in Lake County.

Doris had a passion for her family, her friends and her church and gave them all as much love and dedication as humanly possible. She was known for her skill and enjoyment of playing games as well as her hanky pankies and crabbies appetizers that she brought to every and any gathering.

She was an avid gardener and loved traveling with her friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Daniel (Holly) Diemert and her daughter, Delrene (Bruce) Swindell; seven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great- great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; son, Robert and grandchildren Jamie and Hayden.

The family will receive friends at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby, from 4-8 PM on Friday, August 25, 2023 and a celebration of life service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, August 26, 2023, also at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Mentor Cemetery following the service on Saturday.
