Doris L. Heinz

Services for Doris L. (Allen) Heinz, 85, of Eastlake, will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at The First United Church of Christ, 36721 Lakeshore Boulevard, Eastlake. The Rev. Richard D. Weller will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Heinz passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

Born February 5, 1932 in Cleveland, she was a longtime Eastlake resident.

She was a member of First United Church of Christ in Eastlake. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, attending concerts with her best friend, Helen, and was a longtime season ticket holder with the Cleveland Browns.

Survivors are her son, Mark (Vicki) Heinz of Winchendon, MA and granddaughter, Nicole (Jeffrey) Chatham of Denver, CO. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Milton Mackey of Willoughby.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert, on August 3, 2004. Her parents, Oscar and Dora Allen are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township following the service on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the First United Church of Christ.
