Doris I. Hillstrom

Services for Doris I. (Hedrick) Hillstrom, 88, of Willowick, will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The Rev. Dr. Russell E. Martin will officiate at the service.

Mrs. Hillstrom passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2015.

Born June 5, 1927 in Andover, she has lived in Willowick for the past 51 years.

She was a member of Shoregate United Methodist Church in Willowick and a former member of the Willowick Garden Club.

Mrs. Hillstrom was employed as a cook for the Willoughby-Eastlake schools, retiring in 1982.

Survivors are her children, Norman (Karen) Hillstrom of Madison, Gary (Kim) Hillstrom of Tarpon Springs, FL, Douglas (Linda) Hillstrom and Nancy Petrolewicz, both of Willowick; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William “Gus” Hillstrom on October 13, 2006.

Her parents, Charles and Genevieve (Dustman) Hedrick and brothers, Charles and Bill Hedrick are also deceased.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the funeral home. Final resting place will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
