Doris Thomas

Graveside services for Doris Maxine (Neill) Thomas, 88, of Sterling, CO, a homemaker, will be 10 AM Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Willoughby Cemetery, 4145 Madison Avenue, Willoughby. Mrs. Thomas passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 with her family by her side in Fort Collins, CO. Doris was born September 18, 1924 in Chester Township to Wesley and Ruth Neill. Her father was a builder in the Willoughby area. Her mother was from a farm near Mentor, and Doris spent her summers at her grandparents nearby farm. She graduated from the former Willoughby Union High School in 1942. She met and married David W. Thomas in 1947, and together, they opened Thomas Electric Company in Wickliffe. In 1958, they sold the store and moved to Denver, CO. In 1970, they moved to Douglas County, CO and in 1981 they moved to Fort Collins. Her interests included family, gardening and reading.
