Dorothy L. Booker

Services for Dorothy L. Booker, 91,of Mentor, will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at The Hope Church, 3961 Kirtland Road, Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM on Thursday at the Church, prior to the service. The Rev. Don Blanton will officiate at the service.

Mrs. Booker passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born July 5, 1923 in Cleveland, she was a longtime Willoughby resident.

She was a member of the Hope Church in Willoughby.

Mrs. Booker was employed as a cafeteria aide at Rice Elementary school in Mentor for 32 years.

Survivors are her children, Glenn (Julie) Booker, Jr. of Leroy Twp., and Cynthia (John) Oldenburgh of Willoughby; grandchildren, Crystal (Mike) Strauch, Rachel Vitolo, Thomas (Adrienne Merrill) Oldenburgh, Tracy (Jason) Geizer and Rebecca Oldenburgh; several great grandchildren and sisters, Jane Roush and Audrey Day. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Booker, Sr. on August 22, 2008. Her parents, Herbert and Lillian Wilde and brother, Herbert Wilde, Jr. are also deceased.

Private interment will be held at Willoughby Memorial Gardens following the service.
