Dorothy P. Gerbitz

Dorothy Mathews (Palmer) Gerbitz, 83, formerly of Willoughby OH, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Born on February 12, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, she lived in Madison, OH for the past 11 years.

She found comfort in routine and music, and enjoyed bird watching, collecting lighthouse figurines, photography, reading, and spending quiet time coloring and drawing.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Craig) Lemponen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Catherine (Mathews) Palmer, and her sisters Barbara (Bill) Robinson, Sally (Clark) Folgate, and Nancy (Jim) Davis.

There will be no calling hours. Private family interment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery, 1880 SOM Center Road, Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
