Memorial services for Dorothy B. (O'Banion) Hathaway, 95, of Willoughby, will be 7 PM Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Lyons Chapel of the Nason Center at Breckenridge Village, 36859 Ridge Road, Willoughby. Mrs. Hathaway passed away Friday, March 2, 2012 at Fairmount Health Center at Breckenridge Village. Born June 7, 1916 in Deloit, Iowa, she was a longtime Euclid resident before moving to Willoughby 22 years ago. She attended Willoughby Hills Evangelical Friends Church for many years. Mrs. Hathaway was an elementary teacher in Euclid Public Schools and was later a librarian with the Euclid Public Library System. She is survived by her son, Donald (Sharon) Hathaway of Concord Twp., and daughter, Sue Paxson of Willoughby; grandsons, Ryan (Brooke) Hathaway of John's Creek, GA; Eric Paxson and Darren Paxson and great granddaughter, Isabella Paxson all of Willoughby. Her husband, Will C. Hathaway, Jr. passed away February 12, 2009. Her parents, Mert and Elsie (Austin) O'Banion and sisters, Laura Johnson and Jean Hilton are also deceased. There will be no calling hours. Graveside service and interment will be at 11:30 AM Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg. The Rev. Donald J. Grauer, Chaplain of Breckenridge Village and the Rev. Tom Fowler of Willoughby Hills Friends Church will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to the Breckenridge Village Life Care Fund, 36855 Ridge Road, Willoughby, OH 44094.
