Services for Douglas E. Nash, 87, of Willoughby Hills, will be at 5 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church, 34201 Eddy Road, Willoughby Hills. The Rev. Max R.T. Beery will officiate at the service.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM on Thursday, prior to the service, at the Church.
Mr. Nash passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at his home.
Born May 26, 1935 in Lake County, he was a lifelong Willoughby Hills resident.
He was a member of Willoughby Hills United Methodist Church and enjoyed working on his farm, fishing and making maple syrup. He also served in the United States Army Reserves and as a director on the Lake County Fair Board for many years.
Mr. Nash was employed as a lineman for Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company for more than 25 years.
Survivors are his son, Steve (Denise) Nash; grandchildren, Rachel and Jeremy Nash; Marissa and Andy (Jess) Key; brother, Willis (Amelia) Nash, sister, Judith (Paul) Moore and brother-in-law, Don Scarbrough. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Karen, on November 28, 2005 and his daughter, Lu Ann Key on June 22, 2021. His parents, Abel and Constance (Bartley) Nash and sister, Edith Scarbrough are also deceased.
Private family burial will be in South Kirtland Cemetery.
