Edith Mae Decker

Edith Mae Decker went home to be with the Lord and Savior on April 8, 2022. She lived a full life where she was strong and loved deeply. You knew you were loved by the way she hugged you. One of her greatest attributes was being able to enjoy sitting and talking with those she was with. In her lifetime she experienced many adventures, sorrows, joys, and times of laughter, which her family was always captivated and fascinated to hear her talk about. She loved playing games, where she was fiercely competitive. Her favorites being Yahtzee and Solitaire.
She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 72 years, Jim Decker. She is survived by her children, Jody (Chuck) Kapsandy of Streetsboro, OH, Jim (Cheryl) Decker of Thornton CO, Susie (Paul) Sartarelli of Mentor, OH, and Tammy (Keith) Johannes of Willoughby, OH; grandchildren, Jennifer Close, Neil (Sarah) Kapsandy, Noel (Will) Betush, Heidi (Curtis) Ryan, Sara (Tony) Hudson, Zann (Carlyn) Campbell-Johannes, Kyle (Katie) Johannes, and Kerie Johannes; and 18 great-grand-children. Visitation hours will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday April 14, 2022 at Shoreline Church 3961 Kirtland Rd. Willoughby, OH with a service to follow at 7:00 PM. Thank you to Davis-Babcock Funeral Home for their help with organizing the visitation, service and funeral.
