Edith E. Hesser

December 2, 1935 — February 1, 2025

Funeral services for Edith E. (Shoaf) Hesser, 89, of Mentor, will be at 10 AM Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.

Family will receive friends 4-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Edith passed away February 1, 2025 in Mentor.

Born December 2, 1935 in Youngwood, Pennsylvania, she lived in Willoughby prior to moving to Mentor 18 years ago.

Survivors include her children, David (Dottie) Hesser, Diane (Alvin Cole) Scofield, Wendy (Mike) Garcia, and Gerald “Bud” Hesser; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry (Sue) Shoaf and David (Denise) Shoaf; sister, Doris Matos.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald A. Hesser in 2004; daughters, Goldie and Debbie; parents, Harry and Goldie (Dearment) Shoaf; many siblings (she was one of 13 kids).

Final resting place will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.
