Elaine E. Farrington

Elaine Esther (Mack) Farrington departed this world to be in the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 25, 2022.

Born November 10, 1929 in Willow Lake Township, Minnesota, she and her twin brother were the youngest of six children born to Reverend Christian and Marian Mack.

Elaine was a registered nurse, and for most of her career, served as an operating room supervisor, retiring from Lake West Hospital in Willoughby. She also served for a year on the civilian hospital ship SS Hope in Quito, Ecuador.

She spent her retirement years along with her dear husband of 34 years, David Farrington, traveling the world via cruise ships. Elaine had no children, but was the loving aunt of 25 nieces and nephews, as well as the great and great-grand aunt to many.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, David Farrington in November, 2021 and her first husband, Jake Urschel in 1975. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Reverend Valentine Mack, Titus Mack and Reverend Luther Mack and her sister, Ruth Mae Riemer.

She is survived by her sister, Lois Koenig of Brecksville; step-children, David (Beth) Farrington, Beth (Mike) Bixel and Brian (Leigh) Farrington; step-grandchildren, Ashley (Cullen) Harris, Ellen (Joe) Selva, Chelsea (Joe) Haglage, Michael Bixel, Colin Farrington and Anna Farrington; step-great-grandsons, Keegan, Beckett, Jensen, Jack and Henry.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 37728 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby, where the family will receive friends one-half hour prior to the service.

Final resting place will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
