Elden W. Wilson

Services for Elden W. Wilson, 96, of Mentor, will be at 6 PM on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Davis- Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM on Monday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Mr. Wilson passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Kemper House in Mentor.

Born September 24, 1918 in Louisville, KY, he has lived in many locales around the country, moving to Mentor in 2002 from Albuquerque, NM.

He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of Willo-Hill Baptist Church in Willoughby. He was a former volunteer with Gideon’s International and enjoyed traveling.

Mr. Wilson was an electrical engineer, retiring from the former Sperry-Rand Corporation in Long Island, NY.

Survivors are his children, Marilyn K. (Mario) Ferrando of Mentor and Dr. Robert E. (Kim) Wilson of Erie, PA; grandchildren, Joe (Sarah) Ferrando, Laura (Gregg Evans) Ferrando, Caitlin Wilson and David
Wilson and great-grandchildren, Gianni Ferrando and Silvia Evans.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive Kathryn Wilson, on May 27, 2004. His parents, Froman and Nettie Wilson and sister, Carrie Talley are also deceased.

Additional services and interment will take place in Mount Vernon, IL.
