Eleanor M. Steinbach

Services for Eleanor M. (Klug) Steinbach, 93, of Mentor, will be at 12 Noon on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Steinbach passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.

Born August 19, 1921 in Cleveland, she has lived in Lake County for more than 70 years.

She was an active member and volunteer at Mentor Plains United Methodist Church, for more than 50 years, where she sang in the choir and played the organ. She was also a longtime volunteer at Lake West Medical Center, having logged more than 20,000 hours over 25 years. She loved bowling, participating in senior leagues and enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Survivors are her children, Gary L. (Nancy Videtic) Steinbach of Mentor and Judy (Robert) Crissey of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Jonathan Steinbach, Jeannie (Greg) Tesny and Jessica (Bill Savage) Steinbach; great-grandchildren, Krystle, Stephane, Quinn and Sydney and great-great-grandson, Cameron James.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron C. Steinbach in 1984. Her parents, John and Viola (Dachtler) Klug, brothers, Alfred and Carlos and sister, Doris are also deceased.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of the service at 12 Noon on Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Byron Bufkin of Mentor Plains United Methodist Church will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in South Kirtland Cemetery.
