Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the life of Elizabeth Bangerter from 6-8 PM Friday, February 10, 2012, at Old South Church, 9802 Chillicothe Road, Kirtland. Mrs. Bangerter passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights. Born November 29, 1927, in Cleveland, she lived in Kirtland for the past 55 years where she was an active member of Old South Church and was involved in many aspects of the Church life. She also enjoyed painting and sewing. Mrs. Bangerter was employed at Structural Fibers in Chardon before her retirement. Survivors are her children, Lynn (Jim) Hupp of Mentor, Kathy (David) Uncapher of Burton and Charles (Jill) Bangerter of Kirtland; grandchildren, Elizabeth Murzynsky, Teresa (Rich) Stopek, Michael (Maureen) Uncapher, Natalie Uncapher, Matthew (Tina) Bangerter, Rebekah Kusar and Deborah (Steve) Dilley and 13 great grandchildren. She also leaves her best friend, Betty Lou (Ed) Heiss of Euclid. Her husband of 52 years, James F. Bangerter, passed away March 5, 1999. Her parents, Charles and Elizabeth (Wood) Doig, brother, Sam Doig and sister, Ann Dremel are also deceased. Private entombment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
