Ellen G. Bechtol

Memorial service for Ellen G. (Goodrich) Bechtol, 91, will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. Family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 P.M. Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bechtol died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 At York Hospital in Pennsylvania. She was born May 9, 1924 in Wickliffe, OH and was the daughter of the late Frederick and Nettie (Shook) Goodrich. She was the wife of the late Robert O. Bechtol to whom she was married for 63 years.

She was employed as an accountant with Petco Printing in Illinois until her retirement.

A devoted grandmother and great grandmother, she loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed music, crossword puzzles, playing bridge with friends, vacationing, traveling and was an avid golfer.

Mrs. Bechtol is survived by one son, Ron L. (Cynthia) Bechtol of Virginia; three daughters, Linda L. (Earl) Linaburg of Willoughby, OH, Jan B. (Gene) Pincoski of Dunkirk, NY and Judy (Bill) Galatic of York, PA; 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Lila Eyler and Peg Urban and a beloved son-in-law, Doug Radant.
