Emil F. Bush

Emil Frederick Bush, 89, of Lake County, passed away on June 9, 2021 of a painful battle with kidney failure and COPD.

He was born on July 31, 1922 to his parents, Julius and Olga Bush. He is now with his loving wife, Coreen, who passed away in 2016 as well as his daughter, Darlene, who passed away in 2020.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Debbie) Bush, Barbara Bush Bouck, Debra (Robert, deceased) Rizzo and Scott (Tami) Bush; his grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Jamie, Julie and Victoria and also four great-grandchildren; brothers, Julius (Mary) Bush and Richard Mesterheide and nephew, William (Rose) Bush.

In his early years, Emil enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was not old enough, so he “adopted” his older brother’s birthdate. Many times, he recently recited that “stolen” date as his birthdate.

He was a true example of a self-made entrepreneur. He began his machine repair business out of the back of his truck. He faced many challenges along the way. His hard work was his true asset. He turned his business into a very successful one.

Upon retirement, Emil dove into his hobby. He has a classic 1955 Ford Thunderbird, which he always said he wanted to be buried in.

Private family graveside services will be held.
