Eugene W. Ramsey

Services for Eugene W. “Gene” Ramsey, 77, of Willoughby, will be at 8:30 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 6-8:30 PM Wednesday prior to the service.

Mr. Ramsey passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.

Born March 30, 1935 in Cleveland, he has lived in Willoughby for more than 45 years.

He was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed reading, working on his computer and gunsmithing.

Mr. Ramsey was employed by the Lake County Water Treatment plant, where he retired as a superintendent.

Survivors are his daughters, Joyce L. (Rusty) Greer of GA; Laura L. Ramsey and Sandy A. Ramsey both of Willoughby; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Ethlyn Shoemaker of IL and brother, Bill (Leilani) Ramsey of HI. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

His wife of 50 years, Patricia A. Ramsey, passed away April 5, 2006. His parents, Wallace and Ethel (Main) Ramsey, two brothers and one sister are also deceased.

The Rev. Robert A. Gaston will officiate at the service. Private burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
