Evelyn M. Banis

A service to celebrate the life of Evelyn M. (Westcott) Banis, 95, of Willoughby Hills, will be at 5 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Saturday, April 6, 2024, prior to the celebration at the funeral home.

Mrs. Banis passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Legacy of Willoughby nursing home in Willoughby.

Born December 15, 1928 in Cleveland, she had lived in Mentor for 47 years, before moving to Willoughby Hills.

She loved to play BINGO and spend time with her friends.

Mrs. Banis was employed as a supervisor at the former Allen-Bradley Corporation, retiring in 1989 after 19 years of service.

Survivors are her daughter, Toni Banis; granddaughter, Nicole (Steve) Miles and great-granddaughter, Sophie Miles. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Donna Banis; her daughter, Stacy (Damian) Trusso and their son, Akira as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Anthony, on April 22, 2008 and her son, Robert Banis, on October 29, 2012. Her sister, Dolly Walker and brother, Robert Westcott are also deceased.

Private family burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
