Frances E. Starrett

Services for Frances E. (Hamilton) Starrett, 95, of Kirtland Hills, will be at 11 AM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Mentor United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Avenue, Mentor. The Rev. Kurt E. Landerholm will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mrs. Starrett passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Hospice House in Cleveland.

Born February 16, 1923 in Columbus, she has lived in Kirtland Hills since 1969.

She was an active member of Mentor United Methodist Church, since 1950, and enjoyed gardening, working outdoors and riding her lawn tractor.

Mrs. Starrett was employed in sales at the former Sears store in Mentor for many years.

Survivors are her son, William (Judy) Starrett of Little Rock, AR and daughter, Susan Starrett of Kaneohe, HI; grandchildren, Shanelle, Nicholas and Amy; great-grandchildren, Austyn, Ashtyn, Harley Sue, Maddex, Lola-Rose, Mila, Arielle, Taylor, Kyle and Tara. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William “Bill” Starrett on February 13, 2004. Her parents, Audley and Jeppie (Boone) Hamilton; brother, Robert Hamilton and sister, Libby Zeller are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
