Funeral service for George L. Cox age 81 of Willoughby Hills will be 5:00 P.M. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Mr. Cox passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at Hospice House.
He was born September 21, 1932 in Decatur, Illinois.
Mr. Cox worked as a Tool and Die Maker for 45 years at Pressure Castings in Euclid.
He was involved in Rainbow, DeMolay, the Masons, and Funchasers Camping Club. He attended Richmond Heights Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife Adele (Koenig) of 45 years; step-son Michael J. Schenk; grandchildren Deanna, Michael F., Wayne and Julie; nieces and nephews Nancy (Fred) Schutt, Mary Modic, Richard (Cleo) Nyce, Clara Arndt, and Robert (Kris) Nyce and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Pearl Cox; siblings Anna Rogers, Alvin Cox, Clara Hartstein, James E. Cox Jr., Jessie Cox and Norma Jean Nyce.
Family will receive friends 2-5 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
