A gathering to celebrate the life of Glenn E. Folley, 71, of Eastlake, will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023.
The Celebration of Life will be at the American Legion Hall, Post # 678, located at 570 E. 328th Street, in Willowick. The gathering will be from 4-8 PM with a prayer and reflection service facilitated by the family at 6 PM. All are welcome.
Mr. Folley passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, November 17, 2023. He was in his home and surrounded by family.
Born on December 14, 1951 in Cleveland, he has been an Eastlake resident for the past 40 years.
Mr. Folley acted as Captain of Eastlake’s Fire Department, retiring in 2007 after 33 years of service. After which he worked behind the scenes for Eastlake’s local radio station W.I.N.T 1330 AM and was heavily involved with the Mondays with Malta Show till the present day. It was Glenn’s joy to offer outstanding service to his friends and community. He will surely be missed by many.
Survivors are his step-daughter Liza Enos; adopted sister, Bernadette Cottrell; her daughters, Christine Maki and Rosemary Fritsch; and her grandchildren, Rayna Fritsch and Dylan Fritsch-Heidenreich.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood E. Folley and Mary C. Kempke Folley, and his son, William J. Folley.
Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Russell Township this coming spring.
