Gregory Sanders

A celebration of the life of Gregory Sanders, 64, of Willoughby, will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Willoughby Bible Church, 37927 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby.

Mr. Sanders passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026, surrounded by his family, at his home.

Born May 15, 1961, he was a longtime Willoughby resident.

Greg served as an Elder at Willoughby Bible Church, where he enjoyed mission trips and working with the Senior Saints group. He also served on many committees and volunteered in the office and wore many hats.

He was a graduate of Ohio University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and also earned his Master’s Degree in Theatre from Case Western Reserve University; he enjoyed his time in New York City pursuing acting roles and also enjoyed participating in local theatre in the Cleveland area.

Greg was an avid gardener and enjoyed travelling, especially to Hollywood, Florida. He enjoyed the company of his family, friends and fur babies.

He was a registered respiratory therapist prior to pursuing his degree in theatre.

Greg is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cathy (Mills). He also leaves his sisters, Donna (Finley) Gambrel and Regina (Michael) Christy and many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Margaret (Nunley) Sanders and his brother, Dewain Sanders.
