Harold Clyde Gearhart

Harold C. Gearhart, 87, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. He was born July 2, 1929, in Plum Creek Township, PA.

Harold was a U.S. Air Force veteran and proudly served during the Korean Conflict. He was employed for many years with Towmotor/Caterpillar as well as Willoughby-Eastlake schools.

Harold was a member of the VFW Post #3863. Over the years he enjoyed bowling, golfing and, most of all spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Louise Gearhart; daughters, Rosemarie Kuharick (Richard) and Leslie Valdez; grandchildren, Erica Boenker (Matt), Krista McCulloch (Justin), Nina Jaques and Joshua Valdez; great-grandson, Issac McCulloch; sister, Wilda Markby; and nephews, Fred Shaffer (Rosalie), Albert Gearhart, Joey Gearhart, and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Laura Gearhart and 10 siblings.

Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby, OH, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. A private military honors burial ceremony will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville OH at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016.
