Harold E. Hipps

Graveside services for Harold E. Hipps, 83, of Willoughby, will be at 11:00 AM May 8, 2025, at Willoughby Memorial Gardens, (Plains Road Cemetery), 38650 Lakeshore Blvd., Willoughby.

The family will receive friends after the burial from 1-5 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the home of his daughter, 6161 Maplewood Rd. Mentor.

Mr. Hipps passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025, at his home in Willoughby.

He was born February 4, 1942, in Pennsylvania later moving to Ohio. He was a longtime Lake County Resident.

His hobbies include attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and watching his beloved Cleveland Indians.

Survivors are his children, Sabrina (John) Flynn, Harold (Elizabeth) Hipps, and Barbara Schrenghost; grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica) Flynn, Cassandra (Ric) Nelson, Jason (Rachel) Flynn, Drew (Kayla) Hipps and Kali Hipps; great grandchildren Isabella, Kanin, Teagan, Piper, Lily and Charles. Siblings Ivan Meckley, Peggy Bush, and Elizabeth Grusendorf. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Barbara (Perkins) Hipps. His parents, Harold and Clara Hipps; siblings Jack Meckley, Benjamin Hipps, Barbara Meckley. Evelyn Hipps and John Hipps.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
