Hazel E. Massey

A gathering to celebrate the life of Hazel E. Massey, 83, of Willoughby, will be from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mr. Massey passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015.

Born November 15, 1931 in Boone County, WV, he has lived in Willoughby for more than 50 years.

He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed fishing, rafting, gardening, his animals and following the Cleveland Indians.

Mr. Massey was employed at the former Fisher Body Division of General Motors in Euclid for 30 years.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Marie (Strickland) Massey; son, James of Willoughby and daughter, Wanda Jean Lewis of Tennessee; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandson; brother, Joe Massey of West Virginia and sister, Donna Salmon of Virginia. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald on June 9, 2012 and his daughter, Judy George on May 5, 2014. His parents, Sebert and Virgie (Armstead) Massey and five siblings are also deceased.
