Heather Lynn Hartley

February 1, 1988 — February 15, 2026

Mentor, Ohio

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family of Heather Lynn Hartley announces her passing. Heather was born in Mayfield, Ohio on February 1, 1988. She left us on February 15, 2026.

Heather was a graduate of Euclid High School & Lakeland Community College where she earned her degree to become an RN. She was a natural born healer & lover of biology & nature who sought to continue her education to eventually become cardiologist Dr. Hartley.

Heather was deeply loved by all who knew her. She had a remarkable gift for lifting the spirits of those around her, bringing warmth, kindness, and light into every room she entered. She could approach a complete stranger and leave them changed for the better for having felt her light.

Heather loved the simple things in life. She kept her home full of plants, crystals, instruments, and tiny treasures. She often showed up to visit friends or family with gifts in hand. She fearlessly opened her heart and gave generously of herself to those both in and outside her orbit.

Heather was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Hartley and her grandmother, Jean Safreed.

She also recently lost her beloved African grey parrot, Ruka, and her loved ones believe their spirits are surely flying free & singing together.

She leaves behind her beautiful son, Coriander; beloved husband Matt Kliot; mother Beverly Hartley; and brothers TR Hartley (Chelsea) and Robert Hartley (Rosalie); nieces Samantha Corbissero (Luke) and Aurora Hartley; and nephew Colin Hartley.

An amazing wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter, loving sister, and dear friend, Heather touched countless lives with her compassion and strength.

All are welcome to celebrate her for calling hours on Sunday, February 22 from 1pm-4pm at Beal’s Pickles and Pints, 36200 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, OH 44094. Details for a larger celebration of life planned for June will be announced at a later date.
