Heather L. Lippert

June 7, 1973 — January 30, 2026

Heather Lynn Lippert, 52, passed away on January 30, 2026. She was born June 7, 1973, in Monroe, Ohio to Sharon (Howland) Slone and Wallace Bert Slone Jr.

Heather grew up in Monroe, Ohio, where she attended Monroe Local Schools. After her mother remarried Roy Vaughn, the family moved to West Middletown, Ohio, and Heather graduated from Edgewood High School (Class of 1991) where she participated in color guard and marching band. She later attended Bowling Green State University where she met the love of her life, Tandyn Lippert.

After graduating from Bowling Green State University with two bachelor's degrees, Heather spent ten years building a successful career in architectural design and construction, where her creativity, attention to detail, and dedication were valued.

Heather and Tandyn were married in 1999 and soon after made their home in Mentor, Ohio, where they started their family. They welcomed two children, their son Xander, followed three years later by their daughter, Makayla.

Heather was a devoted mother and found joy in supporting her community. She mentored other mothers through the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPs) parenting group for over a decade, shared her creativity through costuming work for local youth theater productions, and served as a preschool teacher assistant. Heather’s intelligence, creativity, and nurturing spirit touched everyone she knew, and she will be remembered for her thoughtful handmade creations and a smile that radiated warmth and care.

Heather was preceded in death by her father Wallace Bert Slone Jr. and her grandparents. She is survived by her loving husband, Tandyn Lippert; her children, Xander and Makayla; her parents, Sharon (Howland) Vaughn and Roy D. Vaughn; her siblings Jon W. Slone (Nicole) and Siobhan (Slone) Taulbee (Jason). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends who will miss her deeply.

The family would like to thank all of Heather’s friends, including Connie Ford and Robin Hedges, for the love, laughter, and constant support they shared with Heather and with our family.
