Helen Ledford

Private family services have been held for Helen Zoe (Helmick) Ledford, 82, a longtime resident of Eastlake.

Helen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

Though lady luck was not always on her side, Helen enjoyed gambling, playing cards and visiting the casinos.

She was an avid reader, but most of all, she found her joy in life through the faces and presence of her family.

She was the loving mother of Tina Ledford, Donna (Ken) Napier and Tracey (R.J.) Thomas; cherished grandmother of Jessica, Donny (Kelly), C.J. (Halle), Randi (Ron), Matt (Quintin), Kori, Brittany (Jesse), Brandon (Paula) and many great-grandchildren who lover her dearly. She also leaves her beloved brother, Terry “Mo” (Val) Helmick and aunt, Ann Metzung.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Don Ledford, on February 5, 2010, who she married on November 12, 1960. Her parents, Ray and Freda (Kisamore) Helmick, brother, Charles “Butch” Helmick and sisters, Ella “Susie” Salupo and Gloria “Mickey” Lilley are also deceased.

Helen will be interred next to her husband in Willoughby Memorial Gardens. In respect of Helen, a graveside service will be held in the spring.
