Henry G. Webber

Memorial services for Henry G. Webber, 90, of Willoughby, will be at 11 AM on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Mayfield United Methodist Church, 7747 Mayfield Road (U.S. Route 322), Chesterland.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Friday, prior to the service at the Church.

Henry passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Chardon Healthcare in Chardon after a brief illness.

Born June 20, 1934 in Lewiston, Maine, he moved to Willoughby in 2006, to be near his wife Winona’s family.

Henry dedicated his later life to taking care of Winona throughout her Multiple Sclerosis journey.

Henry was a member of Mayfield United Methodist Church, which along with family and friends nourished and sustained his deep and abiding faith.

He was a former Pastor in Maine and Pennsylvania, where he was also the director of White Deere Valley Baptist Camp from 1964-1967 and then managed Service Master contracts in Massachusetts Hospitals during the 1970’s before he worked as a manager at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center in Greensboro, New Hampshire, serving disabled clients. Henry was a graduate of Providence Bible College in Providence, Rhode Island.

Henry is survived by twin-sister, Genie Steward and his foster sister, Glory Wight; his sons, Steven and Russell and three grandchildren; dear friends, Bob Olbrysh, Alan Rome and Jim Vernon, a faithful Stephen Minister, who visited Henry every Thursday evening for more than a decade. He also leaves Winona’s family, Beverly (George) Nash and William (Laura) Boyd and their families.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn in 2023 and his second wife, Winona (Boyd) Webber on February 4, 2021. His parents, Lawrence and Helen (Gustin) Webber, son, Brian in 1995, and brother, Floyd Webber are also deceased.

Henry and Winona will be laid to rest in West Bowdoin Cemetery, in Lisbon Falls, Maine.
