Memorial services for Jack L. Pollock, 87, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Erieside Church on the Boulevard, 221 East 320th St., Willowick.
Jack passed away peacefully on January 7th, 2018. He was born on July 22nd, 1930 in Cleveland.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Jack graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in June of 1955 and married Louise Bischoff later in the same month. He worked as a salesman for the Pillsbury Co. for fourteen years before he bought the Prop Shop in Willoughby at age 42.
He loved boating and especially delighted in living right on the shores of Lake Erie in Mentor-on-the-Lake. Jack enjoyed playing his guitar and singing in choirs and quartets over the years. He attended Erieside Church on the Boulevard with his wife Louise.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Louise M. (Bischoff) Pollock; son, Keith Pollock; daughter, Jennifer (Will) Smith; grandchildren; Jared, Aaron, and Derek Smith. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Florence Pollock. His brother, Donald Pollock, is also deceased.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday January 12, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Private burial in St. John’s Cemetery will be held at a later date.
