Funeral services for James “Jim” Keith Brown will be at 11 AM Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 AM onTuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jim was born on September 21, 1934 in Harlan, Kentucky and passed away on August 6, 2025 at Divine Living of Madison.

Jim was employed his entire career by the General Electric Quartz Fabrication Plant in Willoughby as a quartz fabricator for over 40 years. His specialty was designing and creating works of art with Quartz for many individuals as gifts requested by the company.

He loved to read Westerns, watch the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns, and also enjoyed model railroading and built unique train displays in his spare time.

He and his wife, Nellie wintered in Punta Gorda, Florida for twenty-three years. They traveled to Alaska, the Caribbean, Hawaii and throughout the western part of the United States. Jim lived a full life and his last years were spent sitting in the sunshine in his lawn chair and enjoying life, family, and friends.

He is survived by his son, Daniel (Debra) Brown; daughter, Marsha (David) McFarland; grandsons, DJ (Heidi) Brown, Nathan (Roxanne) Brown, David McFarland, and Brent McFarland; great-granddaughters, Katy, Holly, and Emily Brown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie June (Pridemore) Brown and his sister, Patsy Hensley. His parents, William “Bill” and Pauline (Campbell) Brown are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery.
