James Thomas Jennings

Memorial services for Tom Jennings, 90, of Mentor, will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7643 Lakeshore Boulevard, Mentor. The Rev. Patrick J. O’Dea will officiate at the service.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mr. Jennings passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Lake West Medical Center.

Born March 15, 1927 in Calhoun, GA, he has lived in Mentor for the past 65 years.

He was a United States Army veteran and a Charter Member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Mentor.

Mr. Jennings was employed as an electrical technician with the former New York Central/Penn Central/Conrail Railroads, retiring in 1995.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Inge (Puttlitz) Jennings; sons, Martin (Joan Abraham) Jennings and Kurt (Susan) Jennings and grandson, Alan Wolber.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Inge Jennings in 2009. His parents, William and Alma (White) Jennings and brother, W.A. Jennings are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Mentor Cemetery following the service on Saturday.
