James Esker Lemons III, affectionately known as Jimmy, Poncie, Esky, and The Tin-Man passed away at his home in Kirtland on October 23, 2024.
He was born November 8, 1959 in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Jimmy dedicated many years of his life to working as a machinist, ultimately retiring from Imperial Electric. He was not only a hardworking individual but also a devoted son and brother who lovingly cared for his mother, “Ma”, for many years. He shared his life with his pet cat, Gunner, who brought him joy and companionship.
A passionate Harley rider, Jimmy built a vibrant community around him, sharing countless adventures and creating lasting memories with loved ones. He had a knack for capturing life’s precious moments through photography, always eager to preserve those memories. His friendly and outgoing nature meant that he made friends wherever he went, often lighting up the room with his infectious laughter and shared jokes. He was always wiling to help others, and if he was unable to, he would make sure to find the assistance needed.
Survivors include his siblings, Debra (Ken) Conner, Charles (Jean) Johnson, Jacob (Pamela) Johnson. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. II and Kathryn J. Lemons and his brother, Gary W. Lemons.
Funeral service will be at 6 PM Monday, October 28, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.
Family will receive friends from 2-6 PM Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Final resting place will be in South Kirtland Cemetery.
