James J. Strasser

Services for James J. Strasser, 84, of Willoughby, will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 PM on Monday, January 6, 2025 at the funeral home.

Mr. Strasser passed away Friday, December 27, 2024 at his home.

Born October 5, 1940 in Cleveland, he has lived in Lake County for the past 71 years.

He was honorably discharged from the United States Army Reserves after several years of service. He was a member of the National Grand Sport Registry, a Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed golfing.

Mr. Strasser retired from the former Cleveland Pneumatic Company.

Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Patricia (Wood) Strasser; daughter, Dawnn (Kelly) Bean and son, Gregory (Jenny) Strasser. He also leaves his nieces, Wendy Dusky, Cheryl Brown and Joy Wachhaus; nephew, Luke Wiskes and their families. He also leaves nieces and nephews and their families from his wife’s side of the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Ann (Fielitz) Strasser and his sister, Patricia Wiskes.

Final resting place will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights following the service on Tuesday.
