Janet S. Cole

Services for Janet S. (Kessinger) Cole, 76, of Kirtland, will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Monday, August 3, 2026 at the funeral home.Mrs. Cole passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at her home in Kirtland. 

Born December 5, 1949 in Ravenna, Ohio she was a lifelong Kirtland resident.

She loved playing games on her tablet and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Cole was self-employed as a beautician for many years. 

Survivors are her children, Lara (Halhenry) Walker, Timothy (Joann) Cole, Jennifer (Michael) Reed and Melinda (Keith) Wilk; grandchildren, Todd Yager, Richard (Tori) Cole, II, Michael (Shelby) Reed, Jr., Matthew (Paige) Reed, Morgan Reed, Katelyn Cole, Savanna Godfrey, Connor Godfrey and Sierra Godfrey; great-grandchildren, Brinley Cole, Cooper Reed and Leo Cole; sister, Naomi (Ed) Raphael and brother, John (Barb) Kessinger. She also leaves many extended family members, nieces and nephews, cousins and their families.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard Cole on September 16, 2022. Her parents, Euell and Dolly (Harris) Kessinger; sisters, Lisa Lynch and Brenda Reese are also deceased. 

Final resting place will be in South Kirtland Cemetery following the service on Tuesday.
