Janet Helen Helmick

Services for Janet H. (Wheeler) Helmick, 82, of Mentor, will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 1 PM on Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Helmick passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

Born June 30, 1940 in Ronco, PA, she has lived in Mentor for the past 45 years.

She was an active member of Willo-Hill Baptist Church where she worked in the day care center, taught Sunday school and helped others as a caregiver.

Survivors are her husband of 63 years, Arleigh; sons, Steve (Lisa) Helmick and Paul Helmick; grandchildren,

Sarah Helmick, Stephen (Elena) Helmick, Mark Helmick and Allison (Will) Dipre; great-grandchildren, Natalie Helmick, Cecilia Ann Dipre and William David Dipre, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her son, David, on December 11, 2019. Her parents, James and Helen (Seehoffer) Wheeler and brother, Thomas Wheeler are also deceased.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township, following the service on Wednesday.
