Janet R. Ignat

Memorial services for Janet R. Ignat, 63, of Mentor, will be at 7 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Janet passed away peacefully December 21, 2022 at UH Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland.

Born April 22, 1959 in Painesville, she lived in Mentor since 1990.

Janet spent most of her career in the restaurant business. She worked primarily at Ground Round in Mentor and Corky & Lenny’s in Woodmere.

She loved gardening, computer games, scratching instant lottery tickets, and being with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Daryl L. Ignat; step-children, Kristen Ignat and Stephanie Ignat; sisters, Sue (Les) Whitten and Gayle Kalman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Kalman and Shirley Hendry.
