Janice M. Arndt

Services to celebrate the life of Janice M. (Schwarzwalder) Arndt, 69, of Willoughby, will be at 7 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 PM on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Arndt passed away Thursday, April 7, 2022.

Born May 17, 1952 in Willoughby, she was a lifelong Willoughby resident.

Jan was a loving wife and mother who cared deeply for family and friends. She had a ready smile and loved to laugh. Her strength of character was a defining trait. With her you knew you were loved.

Mrs. Arndt was employed as a secretary at the Lake MetroParks Schoolhouse in Kirtland Hills.

Survivors are her husband of 34 years, John; daughter, Shannon Harris and step children Jennifer (Joe) Weatherholt and Brian Arndt; granddaughters, Amanda and Rachelle Weatherholt; great-grandchildren, Alexa and Jaxon; brothers, Joe (Jane) and Jeff Schwarzwalder and sister, Casey (Chris) Ward. She also leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Edna (O’Malley) Schwarzwalder and sister, Terry Harris-Neely.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
