Janice Rae Rohrich

A Memorial service to celebrate the life of Janice Rae (Dore) Rohrich, 81, of Willowick, will be on Friday, June 21 from 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM at Shoregate United Methodist Church in Willowick, Ohio.

Janice Rohrich passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Vista Springs Quail Highlands Assisted Living in Concord Township.

Born January 16,1943 in Alliance, Ohio, Jan lived in Alliance until attending Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA and receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree.

Janice was married in 1969 and moved to Willowick, Ohio. She was employed by Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools and Euclid City Schools as a teacher and as a School Librarian. She retired after over 35 years of service. In addition, she also received her Master of Library Science (MLS) degree from Kent State University and simultaneously began working part-time as a Reference Librarian for Willowick Public Library until she was 73, serving for over 30 years.

She loved to read, swim, bake, adventure and travel. She enjoyed celebrating holidays with family, had many friends and was always on the go enjoying life!

Survivors are her daughters, Debbie Petti and son-in-law, Domenic Petti and Jennifer Rohrich; son, James Rohrich and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Rohrich two grandsons, Jim Rohrich and wife Jessica Rohrich. Jon Rohrich and wife Angelica Rohrich. She also leaves three great grandchildren, Lily, Jimmy and Jack. Her brother James Dore wife Sarah Dore and nephews David Dore wife Heidi Dore, Dan Dore wife Rachel Dore and great nieces Sydney, Avery and Naomi as well as other family members.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Jack Rohrich in 1982 and her son, Robert Rohrich in 2022.. She also leaves behind many friends in the community and Lee Sternheimer, her companion of over 38 years.
