Jean L. Chaplin

Memorial services for Jean L. (Eaton) Chaplin, 91, formerly of Eastlake, will be at 12 Noon on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Mentor Christian Church, 8751 Mentor Avenue, Mentor.

Mrs. Chaplin passed away June 28, 2014 at Kemper House in Mentor.

Born October 19, 1922 in Cleveland, she was a resident of Eastlake for 40 years.

She was a member of Mentor Christian Church and Order of the Eastern Star Willoughby Chapter 202. She was also a generous donor, having donated 17 gallons of blood.

Mrs. Chaplin was employed as a bus driver for the Willoughby-Eastlake School System for 35 years.

Survivors are her children, James E. (Jacqueline) Chaplin of Concord Township; Susan M. Chaplin of Medina; Daniel S. Chaplin of Cleveland and Timothy P. (Bonita) Chaplin of Litchfield; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Scott, Laura, Christopher, Sarah, Jonathan, Naoibh, Deirdre, Michael, James, Corey and Emily and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Maynard, on August 19, 2003. Her parents, Paul E. and Susan K. (Currnan) Eaton and brother, Robert and infant brother, Joseph Eaton are also deceased.

There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Private family interment will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
