Jean Alice Gorisek

April 25, 1935 — October 5, 2013

Most beloved wife, mother, nana, aunt and sister Jean Alice (Lindner) Gorisek of Mentor, Ohio, passed away the morning of Saturday, Oct. 5, following complications of pulmonary fibrosis.

Jean was born April 25, 1935, in Cleveland, the first child of Otto and Rose (Schuster) Lindner. She graduated from Euclid High School in 1954 and married Ronald Gorisek on Feb. 4, 1956. She was a devoted mother to Dan and Darla and a cherished nana to granddaughters Monica and Melissa, and she will be remembered always for her patience, creativity and unconditional love.

Jean will live on in her boxes of favorite recipes; in her cherished family keepsakes, passed along through generations; in the ceramics she painted and blankets she crocheted; and in the countless lessons she taught and stories she told.

She will be missed dearly by her husband, Ronald Gorisek; son, Dan Gorisek; daughter, Darla (Gorisek) Evans, husband Thomas Evans; granddaughters Monica Evans and Melissa (Evans) Persensky, husband Matthew Persensky; sister-in-laws Linda Lindner and Beverly Fischer, husband Denny Fischer, and their families. Preceding Jean in death are her parents, Otto and Rose Lindner, and brother, Bob Lindner.

Friends and family are invited to an open house celebration at the Evans family home on Saturday, October 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call for directions 440-221-4821.
