Jimmy Willis Mominey

Private family services will be held for Jim Mominey, 78, of Mentor. Jim passed away peacefully July 2, 2023. He was born December 2, 1944 in Willoughby. He has lived the last 46 years in Mentor.

Jim, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend will be greatly missed. His kind heart and generous spirit touched the lives of all that knew him. He cherished his family above all else and found immense joy in creating lasting memories with his grandsons. Over the years, he volunteered his time and talents at St. Gabriel Parish and School. His love for hosting cookouts and pool parties at his home will remain cherished memories for many.

He worked for Beverage Distributors in Cleveland for over 30 years, until his retirement. During his retirement, you could find him enjoying his time on the golf course. Jim’s memory will live forever in our hearts. May he find eternal peace, surrounded by the love and warmth he brought to all those who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Diane J. (Picone) Mominey; daughter, Melissa (Scott) Riethman; grandsons, Andrew and Zachary Riethman; sibling, Ray Mominey Jr., Arlene Justice, Chuck Mominey, Larry Mominey, Roger Mominey, and Charlene Fellows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy (Bannerman) Mominey and siblings, David Mominey and Sue Schroeder.
