John F. Bratek, Jr.

June 17, 1935 — November 27, 2024

Services for John F. Bratek, Jr. 89, formerly of Willoughby, will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.


The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the funeral home.


Mr. Bratek passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024.


Born June 17, 1935 in Stump Creek, PA, he was a longtime Willoughby resident.


He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict and was an avid fisherman.


Survivors are his children, Lisa (David) Docherty and Martin Bratek; grandsons, James, Mathew, Marcus and David, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Mechella; brother, Ignatius (Ruth) Bratek and sister, Patricia (John) Repko. He also leaves several nieces and nephews and their families.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret in 2015. His parents, John Sr. and Catherine (Fyda) Bratek and sister, Anna Marie McAtee are also deceased.


Private family interment will be in Saint John Lutheran Cemetery in South Euclid.
