John J. Ducsay

A gathering to celebrate the life of John J. Ducsay, Jr., will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mr. Ducsay passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022.

Born May 8, 1940 in Washington, PA, he was a lifelong Eastlake resident.

He was an avid Blues musician, and especially liked playing the harmonica. He also liked to participate in drag racing.

Mr. Ducsay was the owner of J.D.’s hitch works in Eastlake from 1991-2020.

Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Norma (Harbst) Ducsay; children, Wendy Lemons, John Ducsay, III and Steve Ducsay; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob (Kaye) Ducsay and sister, Dolly (Bill) Smith. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John, Sr. and Anna (Sterle) Ducsay and his sister, Judy George.
