John T. Knox

Services for John T. Knox, 92, of Mentor, will be at 4 PM Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM on Sunday, prior to the service.

Mr. Knox passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014.

Born March 17, 1921 in Cleveland, he had lived in Mentor for more than 40 years.

He was a member of the Clifton-Gaston Allen Lodge #664 F & AM in Lakewood; avid sports fan, especially of the Cleveland Indians, and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors are his daughter, Margaret Ann (Russ) Myrick of Pensacola, FL and grandson, David J. Bainton of Jefferson. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews and their families, including Ruth (Jim) Cudnik of Willoughby.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Lois Ann on January 11, 2000. His parents, Thomas and Mary Knox and sister, Ruth Herrmann are also deceased.

Private burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Hospice of the Western Reserve, Inc., 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44110.
