John Alan Winkler

Services for John A. Winkler, 61, of Fairport Harbor will be at 1:30 PM on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.

Mr. Winkler passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Altercare of Mentor in Concord Twp.

Born July 21, 1953 in Great Falls, Montana.

Mr. Winkler loved his music and playing the drums. He enjoyed art and drawing. He led a simple life and was a simple man. He loved animals and nature and more importantly, loved his family.

Survivors include his mother, Virginia L. (Diedrich) Winkler of Willowick; sister, Kathy (Bill) Newkirk of Willoughby; nieces, Michelle Newkirk and Megan Tadiello; great-nephews, Nathan and Owen Tadiello; uncle, George Diedrich and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, John P. Winkler and aunt, Shirley Diedrich.

Family will receive friends 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Final resting pace will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Twp.
