Joseph Marion Bell

Funeral service for Joseph M. Bell, 79, of Mentor will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 20, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.

Family will receive friends 4:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bell passed away May 17, 2016 at Symphony of Mentor.

He was born January 21, 1937 in Harrisburg, PA.

Joe retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. Following his service, he was the owner of Electrical Energy Systems and then a helicopter pilot for traffic news.

He enjoyed his grandchildren, flying helicopters, and his dogs.

Survivors include his wife Pam; daughters Natalie (David) Takacs and Jodi (Matt) McCue; grandchildren Kyla, Cade, Emma, David, and Allison; siblings Harry, Sue, James, Frank, Ruth, and Catheryn.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bessie and Minor Bell; siblings Harvey, Fay, Herbert, Leah, Eugene, and Coleen.

Final resting place will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights.
